Artifact - Jogo de cartas da Valve
#11

Citar:There were a few interesting tidbits.

They talked about some of the cards and effects we didn't get to see. One, Cheat Death, modifies the lane so that anytime a (friendly?) hero or creep dies, there is a 50% chance it will instead stay alive with 1 health (requires a green hero in-lane to occur). Another (unnamed, but presumably green) card spawns a 2/1 creep for every damaged unit in a lane. Another card adds 3 armor to a lane tower. Another, a blue card called Annihilation, costs 6 mana and kills all (friendly and hostile) units on a single board, regardless of their stats. Another card spawned a trebuche that would auto-attack the tower each round (it was not a creep and thus not attackable).

They also talked about the shop mechanic. One of the three items is always one you've selected from an item deck that goes with your main deck. One is a randomly chosen item (often an expensive one), and the final item is always a consumable.

They also confirmed there are no color restrictions to deck building. Mono-color decks and decks running all four colors are possible.

They mentioned asking Valve about integration between DotA2 and Artifact. Their response seemed to indicate that they hadn't given much thought to it at present, but were open to the idea.

They also confirmed that Valve is already working on developing the first post-release card pack (hardly surprising to anyone familiar with card games, but still new information).

They also touched briefly on the closed beta. Per Valve, there are currently only 30 participants in the closed beta.

According to what Valve told them regarding game length, the developers expect a game of Artifact to take between 15 and 30 minutes. Some may go longer than that, but in general, they expect speed of play to pick up as the skill and experience level goes up. They said it would be closer to 10-15 minutes once you've learned the game.

There were probably a few things I missed in this list. I was driving while listening to the Q&A when it was live, and this is going from memory. Overall, though, I definitely think it's worth a listen.

EDIT: They also said no Roshan or Aegis mechanic that they saw.

Oh, and Icefrog has played Artifact, but has not and will not be working on it. They also confirmed that while some Artifact heroes may make their way to DotA, some will be exclusive to Artifact.

EDIT2: 10k wholly original voice lines have been recorded for use during Artifacts play. Cards will monologue or speak to each other during play.

EDIT3: Richard Garfield originally modeled each of the colors off of a particular D&D class archetype. Red = Barbarian, Blue = Wizard, Black = Rogue, Green = Druid. This may provide some insight into the intended design space for each color.

EDIT4: Some creeps are played from your hand.
